Well, there's a bit more to our story than simply starting an online shop.
A Business Built on Experience
Before A & M Customs came along, I had already spent around 15 years working in this industry.
During that time, I gained experience in many different parts of the business, from sourcing and listing products through to designing, personalising and producing them.
As the years went by, I became more involved in the creative side of things and started designing products for customers to buy, including ready-made designs and products that could be personalised.
That experience eventually became the foundation for A & M Customs.
Why Start Our Own Business?
After approximately 15 years, the company I had worked for made the decision to close.
For us, it could have been the end of a chapter. Instead, we saw it as an opportunity.
With all those years of experience behind me, I already had the knowledge of designing products, preparing artwork, working with personalisation equipment and understanding how to turn an idea into a finished product.
With the support of my family, we decided it was time to give it a go ourselves.
And A & M Customs was born.
Your Ideas, Our Experience
One of the things we really enjoy about what we do is taking an idea and turning it into something physical.
That might be a favourite photograph, a special message, a name and date, a business logo or even a design you've created yourself.
We also create our own designs for customers who are simply looking for something they love without needing to personalise it.
It's this mixture of our own ideas and our customers' ideas that makes every day a little different.
What Do We Make?
Our range is continually growing.
We offer a variety of personalised products, including mugs, coasters, keyrings, tote bags, mouse mats, barware, travel accessories and seasonal products.
We're also developing our clothing and workwear range, including T-shirts, hoodies and options for businesses, groups, clubs, events and tradespeople.
We're always looking at new products and new designs, so what you see today won't necessarily be everything we offer tomorrow.
More Than Just a Product
For us, it's not simply about putting a design onto a product and sending it out. We care about the details.
When we're working on a personalised order, we take care when preparing artwork and checking things such as spelling, images, colours and layout.
Where appropriate, we also provide a digital proof before production, allowing you to check your design before we create the finished product.
It's a small part of the process, but it's something we believe makes a big difference.
A Small Business With Big Plans
We're proud to be a small family-run business.
We're not trying to be the biggest company out there. We're focused on creating products we're proud of, providing a personal service and continuing to develop A & M Customs.
There are plenty of new products, designs and ideas we'd like to bring to the website, and we're excited to see where the business takes us.
